POINT-OF-CARE TESTING SYMPOSIUM

Date: Wednesday 14th October 2015

Time: 10am-4pm

Location: Skipton House (80 London Road, London, SE1 6LH)

Cost: FREE!

Event background and information

The symposium is being held by Public Health England, and stems from a research study funded by Innovate UK (formerly the Technology Strategy Board (TSB)) to develop a web-tool to determine the impact and cost-effectiveness of implementing chlamydia point-of-care tests in your local setting.

The symposium will be launching the POCTiC web-tool, and provide insight on point-of-care test development and implementation from a variety of different perspectives. It will also be a great networking opportunity, with time to talk with people you might not normally get to meet.

Speakers will be Penny Wilson (Innovate UK), Catherine Lowndes (Public Health England), Chris Price (University of Oxford), Louise Smith (Hertfordshire County Council), Wendy Elliott (Public Health England), Tariq Sadiq (St George’s, University of London), John Clarkson (Atlas Genetics Ltd), Peter White (Public Health England/Imperial College London), Ellie Sherrard-Smith (Public Health England/Imperial College London).

Attendance at the symposium is FREE. However, places are limited!
